Meet Your Therapist...
Erik Lechtenberg, PT
"I feel very fortunate to be a member of a profession that seeks to improve the well-being of others."
Achieving through adversity
Maturity develops through hard work and utilizing life's challenges to become a well rounded individual. Shortly after earning my bachelor's degree in 2003, I was confronted with a near catastrophe. A heavily reinforced shed collapsed as I stood inside of it. As I "Super-manned" my way out the front door into a menacing canopy of rain and protruding nails, I realized it was time to aim higher. That moment proved to serve as a springboard in my journey towards higher education and lead me into a fulfilling career as a Physical Therapist. Now, I am proud and feel very fortunate to be a member of a profession that seeks to improve the well being of others.

The pursuit of knowledge
Completing a rigorous doctoral physical therapy program provided an excellent foundation in patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. I recognized that there was a tremendous amount of treatment techniques and information yet to learn. Currently, I am pursuing a two and a half year manual therapy fellowship program through The Manual Therapy Institute in San Marcos, TX. This program will help satiate my need for a continual pursuit of knowledge. This drive to maintain and always improve my knowledge and skills will help me with my main goal of providing the highest quality and most effective care for the patients I treat.
Serving the community
Over the past several years, volunteering my time has become an important part of my life. Working with Kinetic Kids, muscular dystrophy camps, cancer charity walks, and Habitat for Humanity has afforded me with opportunities to give back to the San Antonio area. These projects have taught me that a small sacrifice on my part can provide a lasting impact on the individuals who make up our great community.
